MALIBU FROZEN DAIQUIRI
What could be better than a Daiquiri? A frozen one. You might have heard about how the Daiquiri was created and became famous (if not – you can read more about it here.) The already wonderful drink got a glow-up after about 25 years (hands up if you can relate 🙋♀️) somewhere around the 1920-30s, when the electric blender was invented. By blending the ingredients with a scoop of ice, this drink got an entirely new look, but has the same dazzling personality as before.
Ingredients
1 part Malibu Original
0.75 parts Fresh Lime Juice
0.5 parts Simple Syrup
Garnish: Slice of lime
Ice
Instructions
Prep time: 5 min
- Blend all ingredients in a blender with ice
- Pour into a cocktail glass and top with a slice of lime
FROZEN IN TIME
A pro sip: Take your sweet (and a little sour) time drinking frozen cocktails to avoid brain freeze.
What type of sugar works best for the Frozen Daiquiri?
In this Frozen Daiquiri recipe, we’re using simple syrup to add some sweetness. For the simple syrup, we recommend using white sugar to complement the lime juice in the drink.
How can you customize the sweetness of a Frozen Daiquiri?
This recipe is just a recommendation – you can of course to do whatever tastes good. If you’d like the drink less sweet, add less simple syrup. If you still think it’s sweet – try adding more lime juice for a tangy twist.
