VIRGIN PIÑA COLADA. NO ALCOHOL. ALL TASTE.

Want to indulge in the delicious and refreshing taste of a Piña Colada, without the alcohol? Look no further! The Virgin Piña Colada is your ultimate summertime mocktail.

While the traditional Piña Colada is made with our favorite Malibu white rum (OK, we may be a little biased), this frozen burst of fresh-tasting pineapple and condensed milk gives you all the tropical sweetness you’ll ever need. Making it the ideal alcohol-free alternative to the classic that everyone at the party can enjoy.

And since it’s so easy to make at home or on the go, with less than 5 minutes from start to tasty finish, it’s the perfect mocktail to enjoy at BBQs, park hangs and picnics, backyard pool parties, or any other occasion on a hot summer’s day. Simply whip this up, slap your shades on, and you’ll instantly be chilling in style, wherever you are.

Where did the Piña Colada come from, anyway?

So, the Piña Colada’s origin is a bit of a mystery. Some say it was whipped up by a cool bartender at the Caribe Hilton’s Beachcomber Bar in Puerto Rico in 1954. But hold up, there’s also another bartender in Barranquitas making similar claims, so we can’t be too sure — it’s like a tropical cocktail mystery!

How did the Piña Colada become a ’70s sensation?

Picture this: the 1970s, big hair, disco vibes, and everyone sipping on Piña Coladas. This tasty drink became the ultimate symbol of chilaxing in the tropics. People loved it for its sweet, chill taste, making it the go-to for beach lovers and resort hoppers alike.

What’s the deal with Piña Colada variations?

The classic Piña Colada rocks with rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice. But hey, there are more members of the Colada fam! There’s the Strawberry Colada (hello, strawberries), the Miami Vice (a Piña Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri combo), and the Blue Hawaiian (with blue Curacao). So many flavors and so little time — but it’s definitely worth a try or two.

Why is the Piña Colada Puerto Rico’s national sip?

Puerto Rico knows what’s up — the Puerto Rican government officially crowned the Piña Colada as their national drink in 1978, and it’s now a cultural icon because of its association with the island’s tropical identity.

What glass is best for the Virgin Pina Colada?

For the perfect Virgin Piña Colada drink, we recommend serving in a Hurricane or tiki glass. These tall, curved glasses showcase the drink’s vibrant creamy colour and allow space for classic garnishes like a pineapple wedge or cherry. You can find Hurricane glasses at most kitchenware stores or online retailers!
